who I am.

i am judea (they/she). i am a visual and musical artist, with an emphasis on songwriting and nature-based photography. over the years i’ve found myself returning to my art as a way to be vulnerable with myself, to process large and wild emotions, to reconnect with hidden or severed parts of me, and to reforge a long-forgotten connection with nature and it’s cyclicality. as such, my hope has always been to be a mirror to allow others to see themselves in deep and meaningful ways, whether it’s through engaging their own unpleasant feelings or seeing themselves reflected in nature - because as living, breathing beings we are nature. thematically i’m very interested in the overlap and opposition created by Life and Death (aka Hope and Grief, Power and Incapacity, etc etc), and this dynamic shows up time and time again in my work in various different forms, elements, and analogies.

i live in queens, ny (born and raised) alongside my partner and our cat. i was born to jamaican and filipino parents. i am a super-scorpio, plant-lover and partaker, tarot-reader, gamer, and more.
